Street Food Inspiration
The street stall Sate H. Romli in South Jakarta is the inspiration behind our Satay Paste. Hot charcoal is manually fanned till billowing with smoke and white-hot before skewers of marinated meats are placed on top to cook. The end result is perfectly charred and slightly smoky meat skewers made complete with a special Indonesian spiced peanut sauce – delicious!
Crushed peanuts, a unique blend of over 10 spices, lemongrass and galangal, all slowly layer-cooked by hand and caramelised with a kicap manis treacle soy for authentic Indonesian sweetness.
Use as a DRESSING / DIP for chicken skewers, burgers, pizza, salads; mix with coconut milk or hot water.
